TESL NS Fall 2010 Conference
- The TESL NS Annual Conference, Auto Pilot: Learner Self Management , is Saturday November 6, 2010, at the Citadel Halifax Hotel.
- Joan Rubin, specialist in the field of learner self-management, is our keynote speaker. Read about Dr Rubin on her website.
- The program is
- 8:00 - 8:45: check in and coffee. The check in and registration table will close at 8:45, so please be on time!
- 8:45 - 10:15: Opening and keynote speaker Joan Rubin who will talk on learner self-management.
- 10:15 - 10:45: coffee break
- 10:45 - 12:15 Workshop with Carol Lesbirel of Smart Talk Productions. She will present on managing stress and coping with the demands of the different levels of our workplaces. Check out her website.
- 12:15 - 1:15 lunch
- 1:30 - 2:30 Afternoon informal discussion groups
- 2:45 - 3:00: TESL NS AGM
- Fees:
- $45 for TESL NS members renewing or joining for the 2010/2011 membership year;
- $55 for non-member volunteer/students who are unemployed;
- $75 for all others.
- Registration deadline: Pre-payment and registration must be received by Monday November 1, 12:00 noon.

- Late registration will be the same fee, but participants will not be included in the lunch.
- The TESL NS membership year is November 1 to October 31, so why not join or renew now and attend the fall conference? You'll want your membership for the TESL Canada 2011 Conference in Halifax next April
- Note: you can park in the hotel parking lot for $7 if you are attending the TESL NS Conference.
TESL Canada 2011 Conference
- TESL NS is happy to be hosting the TESL Canada 2011 Conference: Standing Corrected: Accuracy, Fluency and Reality.
- The dates are April 28-29-30,2011 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
- We are honoured to welcome Michael Swan and Roy Lyster as our keynote speakers.
